Delivery

The Reference Standards distributed by Eurofins PHAST GmbH are intended for applications and uses according to the pharmacopoeia (monographs). Any use deviating from this is at the risk and own expense of the user/purchaser.
Each user is responsible for determining that the Reference Standards used originate from an officially valid lot (batch/lot) before starting his activity.
It is recommended by the authorities to order Reference Standards only when analyses are pending, taking into account the respective delivery time. To ensure quality and purity, Reference Standards should not be stored for a long period of time or opened packages should not be kept for future analyses. Experience has shown that the original package sizes are sufficient for a number of repeat/confirmation analyses in accordance with Good Analytical Practice. Once opened, Reference Standards (glass vial/ampoule/blister) are intended for immediate use. Stability deviations are possible with further storage. Eurofins PHAST GmbH is not liable for this.
Eurofins PHAST GmbH purchases and distributes the Reference Standards exclusively in the original containers such as glass vials (sealed with sealing plugs) or in blisters. These are combined into packaging units in original packaging.
The requirements for storage conditions can be found on the container label of the still unopened Reference Standard. Each shipment is accompanied by the corresponding safety data sheet (SDS), which you can also request in advance from the Eurofins PHAST GmbH sales team. The safety data sheet contains all important information about the Reference Standard as well as information about the storage conditions to be observed. Please note that the storage conditions may also vary from lot to lot. Eurofins PHAST GmbH does not provide certificates of analysis.
If no special storage conditions are mentioned, the following applies:
Storage at normal room temperature, protected from moisture, light, freezing and excessive heat.
If the Reference Standard does not specify any special requirements for the type of shipment, e.g. cold shipment, cold chain shipment or hazardous goods protected, Eurofins PHAST GmbH ships at normal ambient temperatures and protected against breakage.
Due to the monitoring by the manufacturers and since the Reference Standards correspond to the respective pharmacopoeias/monographs, they are usually not provided with a separate validity/expiry date. A Reference Standard can be used as long as the lot/batch/lot number is officially listed as "current" by the manufacturer. If the existing lot is sold out, the manufacturer will list the lot number as "previous". For a certain time window, the then new "current" and now "previous" lot number have an official character at the same time, although regulated differently depending on the manufacturer. The new batch may also have a different package size from the previous one. Reference Standards that the manufacturer removes from the market immediately lose their validity.
Here once again the note: Before using a Reference Standard the user has to convince himself that he will work with a valid lot.
Invalidated Reference Standards or deviating package sizes in case of batch changes will neither be taken back nor credited by Eurofins PHAST GmbH.
Eurofins PHAST GmbH has no influence on these manufacturer-caused processes and must therefore exclude any liability for them.

Obligation to accept/revocation
